Shipping Update: Temporary Suspension of Canada Post Shipping

Posted by Courtenay Davidson on

Effective Friday, April 25th, we will be temporarily suspending all shipping through Canada Post.

While a strike has not yet been officially announced, we are taking proactive steps based on past experience to minimize disruptions and ensure timely delivery for our customers.

Why are we acting preemptively?

We understand this may come as a surprise, but here's why we're making this decision:

  • In previous Canada Post strike events, significant delays occurred for our customers who ordered from us leading up to the strike beginning.
  • Couriers were quickly overwhelmed by the increased volume, creating backlogs that took weeks to clear.
  • We want to avoid delays and ensure reliable delivery by rerouting parcels early, before widespread disruptions begin.

What You Need to Know:

We will continue to ship orders using alternative couriers, such as UPS, FedEx, and Purolator.

  • We cannot ship to PO Boxes during this time.
  • If you live in a rural area, please ensure your address has door delivery through alternate carriers, or that you are able to collect your parcel from a courier depot.
  • We are not responsible for undelivered packages. We highly recommend selecting Route insurance and tracking at checkout for added protection.

As seen in past disruptions, alternative couriers can experience delays when absorbing Canada Post’s volume. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue to prioritize safe and timely deliveries.
